W.I.S. Logistics and Safer Mile(dba as Mainfreight) are both transportation companies.
W.I.S. Logistics was started with 15 employees in 1996 as a non-asset brokerage company out of New Berlin, WI. This coming September, they will be celebrating their 25th Anniversary as a business.
Mainfreight/Safer Mile evolved as a spinoff of W.I.S. Logistics in 2003. Safer Mile is a freight forwarder, ocean and air, and warehousing company located out of Oak Creek, WI, in a 70,000-square-foot building on Rawson Avenue. They employ over 45 employees covering both day and evening shifts.
